Consistancy with Skincare

It's extremely important to be consistent with your skin care routine. Your skin will reflect how consistent you are and will "fight" you when you're not. Remember that skin is our largest organ and it needs the vitamins and minerals on a consistent basis just like the rest of our body. So, yes eat your fruits and veggies but that only reflects 10% of our skin's appearance. A quality skin care routine results in about 90% of our skin's health.

It is recommended to clean your skin twice a day, morning and night. But, do you understand why????

It's important to wash our face at night because we need to wash off the day. Free radicals in the air, make up, smoke, dirt, and excess oil is sitting on your skin and it will affect it if it's not washed off. It's also important to clean your face at night because our body heals itself when we are sleeping. If your skin is dirty it can not "fix" itself or heal itself properly.

There are several reason's to wash your face in the morning too. When we are sleeping we are laying our faces on things that might not be the cleanest. Pillows are covered with anything from drool, runny noses, eye crud, dirt, oils from our hair, free radicals and dust that land on our pillows and bed sheets. Most people don't go to bed after taking a shower either. So, unless you change your sheets everyday, then we are sleeping on things that can affect our skin. Wake up and wash it off! You also should have a clean face before putting makeup on.

Also, remember to be consistent with what your cleaning your face with! Changing up your routine to have healthier skin is good. However, once you find a quality system then you need to stick with it for at least 3-4 weeks to determine if it's the right one! Then, once you've decided it's working well with your skin, stick with it and don't change anything for awhile. Skin care systems have different formulas, ingredients, ph balances, ect. Your skin will adjust during the first 4 week period, but will begin to show rapid improvement after that (if it's a good skin care system that is). You also need one that's meant for your skin type. If anyone has any questions about skin type or wants to know what yours is then email or facebook me. I'm happy to be of service.

Have a healthy day!
