Blemish Problems???

Sorry so late with the post this week! I found out an amazing tip this past weekend at a class and I need to share it.

Having trouble with pimples or blemishes? Stop rubbing!!! Rubbing and scratching at your skin stimulates your oil glands which then will produce extra oil. Oil can get trapped in our pores which can cause blemishes. I know it goes against what we really want to do (which is to scratch that spot off) but it won't help the area to heal any faster and keeping your fidgety fingers at bay will help you to not produce extra oil in that area.

Yes, you should exfoliate and use skin care geared towards your skin type. But, every little bit helps. So stop rubbing and be gently with your skin. It'll thank you.

Many Blessings,
Jennifer

Purifying Your Skin from the Inside

Purifying your skin is difficult, but not impossible. A great and sensible skin care routine is the main ingredient to pure looking skin. This includes cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and exfoliating. Added treatments are also encouraged (example: eye creme and/or a facial mask).

If your having problems with your skin, such as acne or dullness, the first thing I would do as a skin analyst is to tell you to stick to a skin regime that meets with your skin's needs and to make sure your exfoliating more often. But, your skin has two sides. We obviously see the outside, but our skin starts on the inside and it absorbs what we put into our bodies.

If you'd like healthier skin starting from the inside then ask yourself these questions...

*Am I drinking enough water?
Water is the biggest purifier. Try drinking only water (with every meal) for 2 weeks and see what happens :)

*How much processed sugar do I take in?
Sugar plays havoc on our hormones. It feeds bacteria that could be living in our skin and hormones can control our pore size as well. Watch for this particularly around that time of the month.

*Do I eat a lot of foods with chemicals?
Organic food is so much better for our skin than processed food. The chemicals in processed food can dehydrate our skin (especially if it's not flushed out with water) and mess with our hormones. Eating fresh foods also allows our bodies to get the vitamins and minerals we need.

*Do I take a vitamin?
Our body doesn't get the adequate nutrition it needs. Supplementation is very important and helps all of our organs (skin is our largest organ) function properly. I started taking a Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamin by Nutrilite a week ago. It's an 100% organic line that I trust and it partners with Artistry. It has really helped my skin to recover (or heal) faster from any kind of irritation. An added bonus is the stronger and faster growing nails and hair :)

Any of my brides and pageant girls who followed these tips prior to a big event had healthier and clearer skin for their big day.

So, drink more water, eat a lot less sugar (this includes chocolate and ice cream), eat more organic/healthier foods, and take a vitamin for your skin. You will definitely see huge results by following these tips. In fact, I dare you to try them for 2 weeks. Please send me your testimonies :)
I would love to share them with my readers.

If you need a good vitamin don't hesitate to contact me for samples or you can visit my site: www.healthierlivingsolutions.info  I give 180 day money back guarantee on satisfaction. I believe in these products that much.

I love you all and hope you accept my challenge!!
Blessings,
Jennifer

*note* if you already (or have) follow these tips please let me know your results

Tanning

I was wearing shorts outside today (the first time this season) and noticed how pale my legs were. Soon, if not already, people are going to start wanting a tan. I thought I'd give some pointers on the subject.

Regular exposure to the sun or to a tanning bed adds 17 years to your skin's age. It also dry's out your skin, burns and damages your skin, and it runs a high risk of causing Melanoma or other types of skin cancer. If your looking for a summer tan I recommend self tanners (or spray on tans).

First, to create a summer time glow you want to moisturize daily and exfoliate regularly. Exfoliate by using a body scrub or a loofah to remove the dull and dead skin cells that prevent your skin from glowing. Great products like Artistry essentials Polishing Scrub or Artistry essentials Alpha Hydroxy Serum Plus work very well. Moisturize after exfoliating to keep your newly exposed skin from drying out too quickly.

Next, create and keep your tan by using a self tanner.  Choose a shade (usually in a choice of light, medium or dark) that closely matches the tan you have.  To prevent streaking, self tanners work best on freshly exfoliated and moisturized skin.

The advice when applying self tanner on your face is much the same. There are moisturizers and self tanners specifically formulated for the face. However, I never tan my face. I choose to go one shade darker in my foundation along with a bronzer to create a summer glow.

Last but not least, remember your sun screen and apply often.  Choose a moisturizing product that already contains SPF like any of the Artistry moisturizers for the face.  It’s the easiest way to keep your skin happy and healthy all summer long.

Happy tanning,
Jennifer
